Over the last 15 years or more I have enjoyed immensely reading Neil Jenman's books as well as his regular online articles. It has only been in the last couple of months I have really benefited from the advice from Neil's books and his colleague, Adrian, who has guided me through the sale of our home in Port Macquarie. Whilst not using the agent that was recommended to us, we had a great experience with a local agent who got us a great price. Although we sold 2 weeks before formally going on the market, there were to be no additional fees for advertising and styling. Would highly recommend using the assistance of Jenman Support. I first heard about Neil Jenman and Jenman Support a few years ago and decided to subscribe to their newsletter. The articles by Neil Jenman made me realise how cautious and well-informed I would have to be when dealing with real estate agents later on. When the time came to sell my property, I contacted Jenman Support and they responded immediately. They were very generous with their literature and one of their staff regularly liaised with me throughout the sale process. It meant a lot of homework on my part i.e. actively reading the relevant Jenman literature, asking questions and clarifications when meeting with their support person and following their guidelines. It all helped me work with the agent and approach other aspects of the sale. The support and guidance I received were invaluable and enabled me to tackle a difficult process and make appropriate decisions. If you feel somewhat nervous about selling your property then contact Jenman Support, they will have your best interest at heart.

Our home had been for sale far too long. We tried three agents. We wasted more than $20,000 in advertising costs. We were so frustrated and upset and fed up with agents giving us only two solutions - spend more money advertising and drop the price (which was already well below their estimates before we signed-up). In desperation we emailed Jenman Support. We got onto Neil Jenman himself. After one hour on the phone, Neil arranged to meet us at his home. He gave us four hours of his time. The next day, a Sunday, we picked him up and drove him to see our home where he spent another three hours discussing a better way forward - all without having to spend money. As Neil pointed out, there are many ways to find buyers without spending thousands of dollars on over-priced websites. No one else told us this. Finally, we had someone who truly cared about us - not an agent but a true consumer supporter. Neil found a new agent who agreed to follow his plan which includes no charges until we sell - which we’re now confident will be soon. Our biggest mistake was not contacting Jenman Support first. Especially as we’d heard good reports about Neil and his son Alec. We feel however that we must make mention of Neil’s other son, Harry Jenman. Harry was doing work experience with his dad and he spent every minute of the seven hours listening to us and his dad. He was so polite and it was obvious that, just like his dad, he really cared about us. Indeed at one stage while inspecting our home, Harry noticed our kitchen cupboards were out of alignment. He asked us for tools then set about fixing the cupboards. We learned that Harry is considering a career in real estate - either as a front line agent or working in a support capacity with his older brother, Alec Jenman. Whatever path Harry chooses, we are certain he can be a huge asset to the real estate industry. People of care and compassion are rare in the real estate world. And Harry Jenman clearly has plenty of both. We can’t thank him and his family enough for what they are doing for our family. If you’re thinking of selling, save yourself a lot of stress, heartache and money and go straight to Jenman Support. Under their guidance you’ll get the best result without wasting thousands of dollars on advertising costs .

I also received literature and a book FOC explaining what to do and what to look out for after choosing my agent. They were there every step of the way, with clear, reasonable advice that yielded a result I am very happy with. My advice to anyone selling a property is - Don't risk using an agent that isn't Jenman approved. It's that simple.

I have followed Neil Jenman for over 20 years. I have used his advice from his books and articles when dealing with agents when selling a couple of investment properties. We had another investment property to sell in Brisbane ( which we had never visited as we live in another state) so decided to contact Neil’s office.The treatment we received from the initial phone call was outstanding. They suggested an agent who was out of the area where our property was located. The service, suggestions from the agent (who took care of everything - mowing minor repairs etc) and the end result were unbelievable. I only wish we had another property to sell! The final selling price was over 100k more than the agency who were our property manager’s appraisal, plus they wanted us to pay advertising and more commission than our Jenman approved agent. If you are selling and DO NOT use a Jenman approved agent or at least follow Neil’s advice, then you will most certainly lose money.

I feel incredibly fortunate to have found Jenman Real Estate Support. They advocated for us and helped us to sell our property for an amazing price. They offered a huge amount of advice, a book was sent to us, and it was all free! Adrian from Jenman Support, was not only fantastic to deal with, but also was a very reassuring presence every step of the way, ensuring that the sale of our property was stress free! Initially he put us in touch with the right agent, an agent with a great track record who also contractually agrees with the high ethical standards of Jenman Support. Also, Adrian explained to us that if the recommended agent charged a slightly higher commission than cheaper agents, then the resulting price achieved would more than make up for this. And like all the advice, this was proven to be totally correct. We listened and acted on all of the advice given to us by Jenman Support (Adrian Wood) and the advice of their nominated agent (Kyle Peters). While the resulting price was spectacular, it was also fair to everyone involved. A total win/win. A huge thank you to Jenman Real Estate Support, and especially to Adrian who helped us so much. "So what's the catch?"

It's the first thing most people ask, and fair enough. Here's exactly how it works:

When you sell through an agent we suggest, that agent pays us a small fee. But only once your home has sold and settled. You never pay us anything, and the agent is not allowed to add their fee onto your costs. If your home doesn't sell, nobody pays us. That's the whole arrangement.

WHAT WORRIES SELLERS MOST

The risks you're worried about, handled

No, you are under no obligation at any time to use an agent we suggest. You're also not stuck with them if you do sign - as you normally would be.

That is completely fine, and it is often the best time to talk to us. Whether you are months away, interviewing agents, already on the market, or just doing research, we can help. The earlier we are involved, the more we can do to protect you.

Those companies usually pass your details to several agents immediately who then compete (harass you) for your business. These companies also don't put any ethical or quality standards and conditions on the agents they suggest. For example, these companies allow the agents they suggest to still charge you marketing fees if your home does not sell. For them, it is simply about which agents will offer to pay them more.

These companies also allow the agent to pass their "referral fee" on to you. Often this can be as much as 25 or 30% of the commission which adds huge costs to you when you sell.

We pride ourselves on being different. We only suggest agents who have agreed to a set of conditions that protect you, we never hand your details to multiple agents, and we stay involved to support you through the whole sale, not just the introduction.
